Why is there a large need for immigration? In many poor countries, the population grows at a faster pace than the creation of employment opportunities. The political instability, economic and social problems all propel certain people to immigrate, either legally or illegally, to developed countries. Mexico is one such country that has shown a large increase in immigration to countries such as the United Sates. Many of the Mexican workers in the United States have immigrated illegally, without any inspection or a Visa (Yoshida, pp. 2). The major relationship of migration occurs between the United States and Mexico. Around 9 million people, born in Mexico have now migrated to United States. This migration has largely created economic changes in Mexico and United States. Two major factors have resulted in the blooming of this relationship. The first is bec ause of increased economic growth. Secondly, because of high inequality in Mexico and between Mexico and United States, the immigration has increased (Bush, McLarty, Alden, pp. 39). Immigration is largely because of economic factors and it further has economic impacts. The paper shall attempt to discuss the economic reasons of immigration into the United States from Mexico, what economic effects it has had on the U.S and Mexican economy. It also covers America’s policy, regarding immigration. As mentioned above, economic factors play a major role in an increase in immigration in the United States from Mexico. After the Second World War, there was a baby boom in both the United States and Mexico, but eventually in 1960, it reduced in US but continued to grow in Mexico. The Mexican economy did not create as many jobs as it should have for the working population; therefore, it resulted in immigration into the United States. Economists have concluded that around one third of immi gration from US to Mexico in the past decades has occurred because of an increase in birth rates. (Bush, McLarty, Alden, pp.39). However, the baby boom does not remain the only economic factor, explaining immigration. The second largest reason for immigration into the United States is due to the weak Mexican economy. For the past decades, the Mexican economy has not created enough jobs; the minimum wage remains too low. Even though the Mexican economy grew in 1960s and 1970s, the 1982 debt crisis rocked the economy largely, resulting in emigration from Mexico in search for higher paid jobs. The trend towards higher immigration into the United States from Mexico has largely been followed by recessions or slumps in the Mexican economy (Bush, McLarty, Alden, pp.39). In fact, the economic factors play such an important role in the process of immigration in United States from Mexico that the major source of revenue in Mexico comes from remittances sent by Mexicans working in the United S tates (Drachman & Paulino, pp. 124). Although immigration to another country may occur because of political instability and religious reasons, in the case of Mexico, this immigration has largely occurred because of economic problems. The three inputs are proximity measures of the wall and the two outputs are turning rate and speed of the mobile robot. The mobile robot is developed to follow the tracking path and avoid collision with the obstacle. Then the FIS is designed by coding and deciding the inputs and outputs for the kiks. Path tracking involves navigation of the desired path which is computed and defined by human operator tracking walls or obstacles. The difficulties of path tracking deals with incomplete perception of environment, inaccurate measurements and sensor fusion. Avoidance of obstacle using fuzzy logic involves avoiding the unforeseen or dynamic obstacles while it tracking a path or moving towards a target. Fuzzy logic for behaviour co-ordination is used to improve the total performance of the navigation system. The infrared sensor with 6 sensors for the forward direction and 2 sensors for the backward direction. In this phase of training robot, I have used 2 sensors for right, 2 for left and 2 for front sensing. The sensor input is noun used slow, fast, medium. In the mamdani type of fuzzy system, the fuzzifier performs measuring of the input variables, scale mapping and fuzzification. The number of membership function defines the shapes of the initial inputs defined by the user. It holds a value of 0 and 1 which indicates the degree of belonging of the quantity to a fuzzy set. The range of the speed is considered as [0 200] as the robot movement was meant to be faster compared to when the speed was in the range [0 100] because the robot must cover more distance in less time and better speed. The membership function for speed is taken as slow, veryslow, fast, veryfast, medium as the robot should move in different direction with different speed so that the robot follows th e path and is not disturbed by sudden obstacle. The letter read a book about a prep-school boy tells of the days preceding his admittance to a mental institution, not what I was expecting to read that summer. Since I had never heard of the book, I saved it for last. When I began to read the book, by the first page I could already tell it was not at all like any other book I had read before, especially as a school assignment. I didnt put that book down until I had finished it a few hours later, in the middle of the night. Then I read it again, and again- a total of six times before going to school the first day. The book wasnt a book that in reading I just read and forgot about. I was actually pulled into Holdens mind, thinking like Holden, for a short time, becoming Holden. And in doing so, I learned a new perspective. When in places my own thoughts went along with Holdens, the book helped me realize how well my way of handling some of those thoughts actually was working out, for I wasnt in a mental ward, failing out of school, or walking mindlessly throughout NYC. Also, the differences between our thoughts gave me more realization in seeing how others may be feeling around me, and I could never really tell, because no one could ever realize what pain and trouble were inside Holdens mind. Holden helped me realize that not everyone does what I do, and that not everyone is truly capable of doing what Im doing. Sarojini Naidu Essay Sarojini Naidu, also known by the sobriquet as The Nightingale of India, Naidu was born in 13 February 1879 in Hyderabad to a Bengali Hindu Kulin Brahmin family of Agorenath Chattopadhyay and Barada Sundari Devi. Her father was a doctor of science from Edinburgh University, settled in Hyderabad State, where he founded and administered the Ahmadabad College, which later became the Nizams College in Ahmadabad. Her mother was a poetess baji and used to write poetry in Bengali. Sarojini Naidu was the eldest among the eight siblings. Education Sarojini Naidu passed her Matriculation examination from the University of Madras. She took four years break from her studies and concentrated upon studying various subjects. In 1895, she travelled to England to study first at Kings College London and later at Girton College, Cambridge. Marriage During her stay in England, Sarojini met Dr. Muthyala Govindarajulu Naidu, a non-Brahmin and a doctor by profession, and fell in love with him. One can see the richness of wares in the bazaar; the poetess has mentioned coloures such as crimson, purple, silver, amber, azure and red. This shows what all goods are sold in a Hyderabadi bazaar. Turbans of crimson and silver, tunics of purple brocade, mirrors with panels of amber, daggers with handle of jade, chessmen, ivory dice, anklets, wristlets, rings, bells for the feet of blue pigeons, girdles of gold, and scabbards for the king are all examples of the expensive wares sold in the bazaars of Hyderabad. â€Å"I Have a Dream† is the name of a speech Martin Luther King, Jr. gave on several year ago while he was on Washington, D. C.. In his speech, he spoke of his wish for a better future. His wish was that people of different races could live together peacefully in America without segregation. He spoke of the discrimination that the black man has faced even though they were supposed to be treated equal when the emancipation proclamation was signed. Martin Luther King made an important quote on Abraham Lincoln where he said: â€Å"Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness†. This was a promise that all men, black and white men, would be guaranteed the â€Å"unalienable Rights†. He wanted to support his idea on what Abraham Lincoln said that all men are equal both white and black men have the same rights. This speech left a legacy of equality of Rights for all men in the United States. Hundred years before Martin Luther King gave his speech black men were not free until Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation. Through those hundred years black men weren’t treated as equal as white men. Black men were discriminated in all the United States because of their skin and the amount of racist people back then was significant. King’s speech highly persuasive, he wanted to provoke everybody that heard his speech to have a feeling that segregation and discrimination should be stopped. In my opinion we have achieved King’s dream, today all men have equal rights and there aren’t differences between the races of people and the ability to pursuit happiness. Martin Luther King yearned a world where all the races were treated as one and there weren’t different between people in our country. Martin observed that: â€Å"one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free† and black men were segregated to the slums and ghettos of the northern cities. The people who stood against King had the opinion that only white people deserved to be treated reasonably. Even though, they were few and didn’t have a strong argument to defend their point because there wasn’t one. King inspired the majority of American people, and he brought equality for every race in America.

According to some researchers, moderate alcohol use protects against cardiovascular diseases (Carlson, 2009). Socially, some people claim that it also has positive effects. It provides a lot of employment in the production, catering and retail of products and services in which alcohol plays a part. Also, people claim that alcoholic beverages help people socialize. However, if consumed when young, alcohol consumption can have a negative effect. Increasing the age limit on alcohol purchasing to 25 can decrease the consumption rate, misuse rate, and addiction rate among individuals. First, increasing the age limit on alcohol purchasing to 25 can decrease the overall consumption rate. By increasing the drinking age to 25, it can reduce consumption amongst young people because it will be harder to buy alcohol. According to U. S. Department of Health and Human Services for the Centers for Disease Control survey, approximately 52% of Americans over the age of 18 are regular drinkers (Sondik, 2010). The percentage of alcohol consumption can decrease with the increase of the age limit. Secondly, increasing the age limit on alcohol purchasing to 25 can decrease the overall misuse rate of alcohol among the younger crowd. By increasing the drinking age to 25, the group of impaired driver accidents and deaths may decrease. According to the U. S. Drunk Driving Car Accident Statistics, approximately 34% of individuals between the age of 21 and 24 did from vehicle accidents each year (NHTSA, 1997). The percentage of death from motor vehicle accidents and alcohol can decrease with the increase of the age limit. Thirdly, increasing the age limit on alcohol purchasing to 25 will decrease the percentage of individuals that become addicted to alcohol at a young age. The younger a person begins using alcohol, the greater the chance of developing alcohol dependence or abuse some time in their life. Of those who begin drinking at age-18, 16. 6% subsequently are classified with alcohol dependence and 7. 8% with alcohol abuse. If a person waits until age-25 before taking his or her first drink, these risks can decrease by over 60% (Grant, 1997). The percentage of individuals that become addicted to alcohol can decrease with the increase of the age limit. In conclusion, by increasing the age limit on alcohol purchasing to 25 can decrease the consumption rate, misuse rate, and addiction rate among individuals. The overall rates decreasing will benefit every individual in every age group. The Japanese technology is leading the world these days. Especially with the mobile phone market is Japan far ahead of Europe and the United States. Although these progressions and innovations, two cliches still rule the thinking about the country. One is the fact that Japan is a small country, with no ethnic diversity, and has a high income per head. The other one is that Japan ‘imitates’; the idea that Japan does not make its own products, but tries to improve other products. Japan has of course its own creativity and its own cultural achievements, known throughout the world, such as the ‘tea ceremony’, ‘sumo wrestling’ and ‘sushi’. Japan’s economy, culture and civilization changed rapidly when the cultivation of rice was introduced, from China, in the fourth century BC. The nomadic life they used to live was changed for an agricultural one. They started to settle in villages and a new sense of economy and cooperation was established. This new sense of economic thinking also brought forth an ideal that still holds in the Japanese culture: the need of the group is more important than the need of the individual. The Japanese civilization developed very late in comparison with the civilizations found in Egypt, Greece, India or China. Japan, as consisting completely of small islands, stayed a long time being isolated from the rest of the world and therefore stayed a long time being a hunters-gatherers society. China had a great impact on the development of Japan. In the seventh and eighth century, China represented the most developed country in the world in those days. Before this Chinese influence that changed the political system in Japan, the political system consisted mainly of powerful warlords. These warlords and wealthy families established many different centers and Japan was not a unity. Finally one family succeeded in taking the power over the southern and central islands. This clan and its ‘emperor’ started the imperial line. After this establishment, many Chinese political models were introduced in Japan. Taxation systems, new law codes and the whole political administrative system were copied. This Chinese model did not seem to be the best for Japan. Land was divided among the population equally and the taxes were also equal for all the people. The emperor was the ruler and had absolute power and the administrators were chosen through examination and ability. In Japan, the emperors ruled with the family and kinship ties. There were no examinations or ability tests in the old Japan. The nobility did not want to leave their positions and government and laws started changing constantly. The introduction of Buddhism had a big impact on the Japanese society. The original Shinto religion was completed with Chinese and Korean Buddhism. Apparently, these two religions can co-exist well together. Buddhism can be seen as a ‘nature’ religion and because the people of Japan lived close to nature, this worked out fine. Shinto gave the people no hope beyond death, Buddhism did. Nature is not consistent, it is impermanent, and it keeps on changing and so does live. This concept of impermanence is not only seen in the culture and religion of Japan, but also in literature. Literary themes like suffering, life struggles, awareness of the transient nature of earthly things, is represented everywhere. Japanese Culture and Literature The Manyoshu The Manyoshu is the oldest collection of Japanese poetry. The title means â€Å"collection of ten thousand leaves†. The translation of the Japanese symbol ‘leave’ can also be translated as ‘age’ or ‘generation’. Therefore the collection is sometimes said to be the â€Å"collection for ten thousand ages†, which can be interpreted as a collection for the generations to come. At the time of the last dated poem, 759 AD, Japan had just changed into a society with a governing emperor, a new national identity and government and a new religious system. All these new influences came from neighboring country China, which had a big impact of the development of Japan economically, politically, religious and socially. Contacts with China also brought roads, irrigations works, harbors, new fabrics and pagodas to Japan. Japan was not just coping the Chinese ways, they made their own. This also meant the introduction of a new writing style, coming from the Chinese characters, but with a Japanese twist. It is amazing to see that the quality of the poems of the Manyoshu is very high. The experience and finesse of the writers is special for this collection and hard to find again in the poetry written in later ages. The passion, sincerity and innocence are attracting many people to reading the poems. There are basically two principal written forms used in the poems. The first one is the ‘choka’. This is a long poem with an indeterminate number of lines of alternating five and seven-syllable lines, ending with two seven-syllable phrases.
